Jim Evans Sworn in as National Secretary in Fredericksburg.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of national Secretary Jim Evans on February 23, 2010.

Jim was a marine stationed at NAS Kaneohe on December 7, 1941. He has been very active in PHSA, holding many offices from his local chapter up to the national level. He was founder and President for 11 years of Chapter 31. He has held the office of California State Parliamentarian, Vice-State Chairman South, State newsletter Editor, and California State Chairman. He was elected National Secretary in 2004 and re-elected in 2006 and 2008.

He and his wife Jeanne initiated a program that transferred two sides of PHSA membership applications from paper to digital media, creating a permanent record. The transfer work was done by Palomar College students. Jim will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeanne and their family.
